What direction will eLearning take in 2018?
Discover trends and forecasts for 2018 proposed by EI Design.
The Indian learning training specialists of EI Design now distribute an ebook with their indications for the eLearning trends of 2018.
The eBook is divided into three sections which, starting with the titles, clearly indicate the technological and content horizons to which eLearning will tend during the year.
The first section is titled "What will continue to offer value" (obviously in eLearning) and it refers to the training activities already used in these years and which will be developed furthermore during 2018:
- mLearning
- Digitization of ILT (to blended or fully online)
- Microlearning
- Performance Support Tools
- Gamification
- Social Learning
- Mobile Apps or Apps for learning
- Video-based learning (Videos and Interactive Videos)
- Next gen-LMS/LCMS
- Rapid eLearning tools
- Informal learning
The second section is titled "Coming of age-Increase in adoption” and it is about three trends that will be increasingly adopted:
- Learning portals
- Personalization
- Curation
The third section is titled "Emerging or Maturing-Watch out for" and lists new trends that are emerging, or trends already identified that will mature in the course of 2018.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning.
- AR/VR for immersive learning.
- Big Data-Reporting, Analytics and its usage in the determination of ROI Learner Analytics.
- Learner Analytics to enhance Learning experiences.
